Steve Schlinkenmeyer grew up in Hermosa Beach. Was on the Bing Surfboards Surf Team and the Bay Cities Surf Club.
Began shaping in the latter part of the 1960s and would continue developing into a very good shaper.
In the late 1970s Steve made Hawaii his home. He would make boards for the surfers on the Big Island until the summer of 2005. He will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
