Surfboards 1969-1979

The short board era loomed on the oceans of the earth as the astronauts made their way back and the decade of the 60’s came to a close. The splash made by shorter shapes placed most longboards into hibernation and a spike in blank demands and the peeling of fiberglass off of long surfboards. With it came increase in paddling, but the freedom of control on the face of the waves fueled new dimensions in the shaping rooms around the world.
